Maharashtra HSC Re-evaluation & Rechecking 2025 - Full Process & Fees
Students who have appeared in the Maharashtra HSC (Class 12) Board exams and are not satisfied with their marks can apply for either rechecking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets. This guide explains the full process, eligibility, fees, and important dates related to both services.
What is the Difference Between Rechecking and Re-evaluation?
- Rechecking: Only totals and unchecked answers are verified. No re-assessment of answers.
- Re-evaluation: The entire answer sheet is re-assessed by a new examiner.
Eligibility
Any student who appeared in the Maharashtra HSC Examination 2025 conducted by MSBSHSE can apply for rechecking and/or re-evaluation if they feel there is an error in marking.
How to Apply for HSC Rechecking or Re-evaluation?
- Visit the official MSBSHSE website: mahahsscboard.in
- Click on the Rechecking or Re-evaluation application link under the latest notifications.
- Login or register using your exam roll number and other details.
- Select the subjects for which you want to apply.
- Pay the required fees online.
- Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt.

How to Re-evaluation of Exam Copy?
- Visit the official registration portal: https://hsc_student.mahahsscboard.in/
- Click on the HSC Verification option available after login.
- Select either Verification without photocopy or Verification with photocopy as per your requirement and confirm.

Application Fees (Subject to Change)
- Rechecking Fee: Rs. 50 per subject
- Photocopy of Answer Sheet: Rs. 400 per subject
- Re-evaluation Fee: Rs. 300 per subject (only after receiving photocopy)
Important Dates
- HSC Result Date: May 5, 2025
- Rechecking Application Start: 2–3 days after result declaration
- Last Date to Apply:May 20, 2025
Important Guidelines
- Re-evaluation is allowed only after applying for photocopy of the answer sheet.
- Students can apply only for theory subjects.
- Marks may increase or decrease after rechecking/re-evaluation.
